Two more towers at Suria KLCC
KLCC Property Holdings Bhd, the main shareholder of Suria KLCC, will be building two additional towers next to the Twin Towers.
Suria KLCC chief executive officer Andrew Brien said the two blocks will consist of an office tower and a hotel that sits on a four-storey podium retail block which will be integrated with the present four-storey retail mall.
He said the latest development is aimed at driving more local and international visitors and shoppers.
Brien said the construction of the towers will be completed by 2015.
"Based on feedback from customers, we have started to refurbish our mall so it always stays fresh and relevant to our retail partners and customers," said Brien.
He also said Isetan KLCC is undergoing a new phase of refurbishment. Works on level three and four will be completed by end of this month while level one and two will be completed during the first half of 2012.
He said the supermarket has been relocated to the concourse level with the convenience of travelators linking to the car park at level one and two.
"This is in line with our tagline, 'Always Something New'. We have 41 million people visiting our mall per annum. This is a high volume and it is important that our customers are satisfied and happy," he said.
With the redevelopment, new specialty stores have been created within the supermarket precinct including Melvita, Purple Cane Tea, Candylicious, Chocolat World, Tong Pakfu, Gong Cha and Garett Popcorn.
The expansion of Ramlee Mall will also offer 37 stores, including Cartier and Chanel.
