Malaysia ranks 3rd in global offshoring destinations
KUALA LUMPUR: A.T Kearney has ranked Malaysia in third place after India and China in the 2014 Global Services Location Index (GSLI) for offshoring destination of choice.
Although Malaysia was hindered by relatively smaller labour pool, it had competitive advantages in terms of political stability and multilingual environment, it said in a statement.

Seven highways worth RM20bil expected to start work next year

One-way traffic system in PJ to ease traffic congestion
THE one-way traffic loop in the Petaling Jaya city centre is expected to be implemented on Oct 12 for a three-month trial run.
The Section 52 Petaling Jaya loop will be installed with high-resolution CCTV cameras, which will be monitored by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) enforcement team.

Malaysia's property sector cooling off
PETALING JAYA: Property developers have come out with some hard facts that suggest that the sector is cooling off.
According to the first half 2014 Property Industry Survey by the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia (Rehda), properties in the affordable housing price range below RM1mil have been facing a tough sell largely because of homebuyers’ difficulty in getting financing and a glut of unreleased bumiputra lots.
